she is the true definition of a california girl. mckinley is a frequent of tanning on the beach with a fruity iced smoothie in hand during the summer time. she also can be found often at the spa, pampering herself with a manicure, pedicure or facial. mckinley is far from athletic and would much rather be running to catch a sale instead of running outdoors just for the fun of it. shopping is basically mckinley's greatest hobby and fashion is most definitely her forte above anything else. she prides herself on creating and designing outfits for any occasion. mckinley can place together any top and pants or skirt and make them look as if they were made to be together, it's just one of her special knacks.
in all, mckinley is actually a pretty easy going girl that isn't as high maintenance as she leads on to be. though she loves to be pampered and keeps things organized, it really doesn't take a lot to put a smile on this girl's face. she's a sweetheart and if you're friends with her, you've got a friend for life. mckinley is extremely loyal and will stand up for her friends in a heartbeat. she's selfless and often puts others before herself.

OVERALL HISTORY:
it was a cold january morning in california that nineteen year old rosa d'amico went into labor with a baby girl. already being parents of a two year old son, luca, rosa and her long time boyfriend, dennis, welcomed baby mckinley into the family with open arms. though rosa and dennis were young, their love was honest. dennis was the star football player, rosa was the head cheerleader. it was a story you'd see in almost any lifetime movie, except in this one, when an unexpected pregnancy happened dennis actually stayed. he wanted to be successful and make a lot of money, but at the same time he wanted to be a father as well. so rosa stayed at home while dennis continued school.[/color][/font]
mckinley was a happy baby, but definitely a handful for her young parents. she cried often, unlike her older brother had when he was a newborn, and kept both rosa and dennis up throughout the night. once she got older though, her temper wore off and was replaced by a content attitude. by the age of two mckinley was starting to be more sociable and would make an effort to try and spend time with other toddlers. at three, she was able to work a room and make sure all of the attention was on her. she loved attention at a very young age and it carried from then on.
mckinley was seven years old when she began observing clothing as more than just things that were sold in stores. she began wanting to pick out her own clothes from her closet and off the shelves at the stores, and she proved to be quite skilled at placing outfits together. she would sketch out pictures of dresses in her doodle pad and wear bedsheets wrapped around her small frame. fashion was something that she showed interest to extremely early on in her life, and it's one thing that's been a big constant.
her father, being a personal trainer, began working with celebrities in fitness when mckinley was about nine years old, and soon after her mom landed a job in public relations. before she knew it, her family was suddenly becoming wealthier and wealthier and within the next few years the once small, very young family was along with the most well to-do families in orange county, california. the money was sudden for mckinley, and came most apparent right before she entered westwood secondary day school, her first private school. mckinley took to middle school quickly, almost instantly forming her own clique of friends. mckinley enjoyed organizing and hosting sleepovers and their new, large beach side home. popularity was easy for her to obtain: she dressed nicely, she was cute, and she had a lot of money. she never really was one to flaunt or boast, so that aspect never really sunk in with her, which is why when she entered high school at harbour academy, popularity wasn't something that was on her mind.
she now attends harbour as a sophomore and is still a social butterfly as ever. she pays little attention to her grades and more attention to what she's going to wear and where she's going to wear it to. perhaps eventually she'll wish she tried harder in her classes, but for now mckinley is fine right where she's at.
