OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Ariel is a genuinely down to earth person, she comes across as relatively easy going, but can be quite opinionated. She is kind and caring, and comes across as quite confident and happy, but she actually has slight low self esteem. Ariel is extremely judgemental and finds it difficult to let her first impressions of people drop. Ariel firmly believes a leopard can’t change its spots, she’d had bad experiences with people in the past and she’s quick to judge. Aside being judgemental Ariel hates being discriminated against and she often tries to prove wrong people’s perceptions of her. She is a little hypocritical.
Ariel is competitive, she has a love for all sports, in particular tennis. She does enjoy extreme sports in particular sky diving but very rarely does it. While she used to be the life and soul of any party, she now tends to avoid them. She doesn’t like drinking, because these days she just can’t handle it. She’s one of those sloppy drunks who’s principles and values disappear when she’s had one too many.
Ariel loves being in a relationship and feeling secure; the thing is she was hurt badly by her ex and hasn’t been able to trust anyone since. She can be easily manipulated by men, mainly because she’s desperate to believe in love and be whisked off her feet, when her hearts not in the equation she’s able to differentiate the problem and stand on her own ground; challenging whatever she is faced with.
Ariel has a brain and is quite methodical at times. She am very observant and have a great memory. She can come across as quite cold and calculus; but what can you expect; she’s been through so much. She gets jealous very easily, and often reacts with revenge of some sort. Ariel confuses herself with her behaviours but ultimately her personality is hypocritical

OVERALL HISTORY:
Ariel was born in the early hours of new years day, a whole nineteen years ago. She was the second child to Randolph and Gwyneth. She thought it was cool as a child, growing up named after your favourite Disney princess, but as time went by and her younger sister was born, Ariel realised there was nothing exciting about being named after a cartoon character. At least her name was the most subtle out of the three.
When Ariel was only six she started playing tennis, it was just a hobby at first but over the years it quickly developed in to something more of a talent. Ariel loved it because neither one of her sisters could play and it made her stand out from the rest of the family. Sure Cindy was acting and Rory was good at dancing but they were the type of things which didn’t really get you anywhere, well in Ariel’s opinion. But with tennis, like other sports; there was always competitions to be won, always people to beat. She knew she’d go far if she kept her head in the game, which was exactly what she done. It wasn’t really as if she had a choice because her mother was constantly on her back. Their relationship grew antagonistic. Ariel was good but she could be better, and her mother wouldn’t let it go until she proved it.
Ariel was eleven when her family decided to move to California. Her mother missed her brother a whole lot and he lived in the O.C. Ariel was somewhat understanding because she couldn’t imagine living away from her sisters; she saw it as somewhat of an adventure. And that it was. Their father began to get close to the daughter of the neighbour. It didn’t really raise concerns that the girl was only twenty and a model, and she was mainly interested in their father’s money. The two had an affair and when Ariel was fourteen the news became apparent. The bigger shock was that their father had impregnated the twenty year old and was going to raise the baby with her. Ariel was in shock, and for a while she hated her father, but she hated her mother more. Gwyneth filed for divorce and her father remarried. Nine month later Lydia gave birth to Barrington Capulet.
As much as Ariel wanted to hate her father it only made her crave his attention more. Cinderella took it real badly, she went off the rails; dappling in drugs and meaningless sex. She disowned their father and went awol in Hollywood; landing a minor role in a major movie- and didn’t really see much of her family. Ariel was at an impressionable age, her mother was too wrapped up in work and she needed a stable influence with her big sister gone. Lydia managed to fill that gap. They got on really well, and Ariel adored everything about her fathers new family, accepting them as her own. This caused a big rift between her and Cindy, leaving Rory as the neutral point.
At school, Ariel was in the popular clique, she was a star tennis player and enjoyed her life. She wasn’t the queen bee, but Ariel was near the top; the only difference between Ariel and the rest of the popular people, was the fact that she was actually quite down to earth. Despite the blonde hair and the short skirts, Ariel didn’t sleep around, in fact she didn’t lose her virginity until she was seventeen; to a guy she’d known, dated and loved. She was brought up to respect herself. But at the same time, Ariel loved the attention being popular brought. It was right at the beginning of her senior year when she had her heart broken. She’d been with her boyfriend, Todd, for a full two and a half years; he was the love of her life; a tennis player and really she’d thought they would leave school, go to college, get married and have a family. She was devastated when she walked in on him after a competition, kissing some guy from a neighbouring school. Ariel couldn’t cope with it; her boyfriend was gay. He begged for her forgiveness, for her to keep it a secret and she did. Stupidly she did, because she loved him. So for most of her senior year she pretended that everything was okay; kept up a fake relationship. Only Ariel slipped up; she fell into bed with one of her guy friends, and everyone found out- so she was branded a cheat and Todd got away scott free. She was devastated and humiliated; but could only bring herself to tell her sister Rory. But at the same time Rory was having guy troubles, and her mother had met some oil baron- Carver Anderson. Before her senior year was out, Gwyneth became pregnant, and Ariel only hated her mother even more. Their relationship became volatile and as Carver took a more active role in being a step father, Ariel grew more distant.
She moved into a flat once she’d left school; being unable to cope with living at home any longer. She had no idea what to do with her life, and wanted nothing more than to be back at school, living her dreams of being a tennis player. Luckily for her, there was a job going, and Ariel applied. Of course the school wanted her back; she was their star tennis player and now she was going to coach the up and coming tennis stars of the future. Two month ago her mother gave birth to twin girls; belle and jasmine, and Ariel still hasn’t seen them. She can’t bring herself to bond with the babies. So for now she’s just mulling around trying to figure out what to do with her life, not really trusting any guys; and not really being able to let go of the past.
