------It had been a few months that Caleb and Jenna were officially and item, and it seemed like the entire student body of Harbour still hadn't gotten used to the fact that the bad boy of the school was sporting the token good girl on his arm. As if Harbour didn't have enough to talk about, there were already rumors flying around about the not-so-fresh couple. Jenna knew that people were going to talk, regardless of if she wanted them to or not (and of course she didn't). It didn't matter though, because these past months with Caleb were definitely worth any pity gossip in the world. She truly felt comfortable around the senior boy, it was a feeling that she hadn't really felt in a long time, or ever really. Jenna wasn't sure what love was like, and she knew she'd be silly to think she was in love at seventeen years old, but who knew. All that mattered was that Caleb made Jenna feel special, unlike anyone else had, and she enjoyed that.
As the bell rang to send Jenna off for her lunch period, she packed up all of her things and headed out into the hallway to her locker. There was no way that she was willing to haul her anatomy books to her other classes throughout the day. Her freshly manicured fingers turned the dial on the lock until it clicked open and Jenna opened her light blue locker. Some may say that locker decorating should have been left for dead in the middle school years, but inside Jenna's locker hung a picture of her cheer squad with a little pom pom sticker next to it. Under that picture, there was another picture, but this was one, of course, of her and Caleb, both smiling at the camera. Next to that picture was a small note that Caleb at written her, taped up by a clear tape. Jenna grinned at the picture of a smiling Caleb before loading her books into her locker.
Thoughts of how she should spend this break ran through her mind. She didn't have any homework that was left to do, but there was always studying to be done. Or should she just take a break from all of this and actually sit down and have a real lunch? That was the problem with Jenna. She knew she was on scholarship, so she constantly had her a game on, when it came to school work. She very little allowed herself breaks. If she slacked then that meant no more Harbour, which meant no more Caleb too. That couldn't happen. So as Jenna carefully placed her books into her locker, she decided on reviewing her Calculus notes. Always the scholar.

However, he saw how hard Jenna worked throughout the past few months that they were together and as much as he wanted to chat her up via text, he definitely didn’t want to be held liable for her getting distracted. She was on scholarship and he was on federal assistance so he knew that if they both slacked off due to their childish ways, it wouldn’t end well for either of them. He looked at his phone noticing that the free lunch period was only a few minutes away.
Caleb could barely keep his mind on the math problems on the board, instead Jenna popped up in his head. Her gorgeous smile, oval shaped honey eyes, and her high and pink cheekbones from the blush she applied regularly. He rubbed his lips gently just thinking about her with a small smirk on his face. Jenna was someone he definitely didn’t plan on letting go soon. The look Jenna had in her eyes when she looked at Caleb always reminded him that he wasn’t just a boy toy to her, but someone who she trusted herself completely with. A trust Caleb would try his damndest not to break.
Love was a feeling Caleb only got to experience once in his life, and unfortunately it was cut short before he was ready. This time, he began to get the same feelings and intuitions about Jenna, more often since they began exclusively dating. It’s like she put a spell on me Caleb jokingly thought. This thought interrupted by the bell as he looked up at the clock, then at the hurried classmates who bolted out the door. Caleb smiled and closed his notebook, picking up his north face jacket and taking his time to walk out the classroom. His first stop was his locker to put his notebooks away, immediately seeing the picture Jenna left of herself to keep the ‘girls’ away.
He laughed a little remembering the day she taped it up there as if it happened yesterday. He then closed his locker placing his hands in his jean pockets, heading over to Jenna’s locker. Still glancing at some people staring at him approximating Jenna, Caleb smirked and gently shook his head at their disapproval. You can’t please everyone can you? He carelessly thought as he saw Jenna pulling out some papers from her notebook and smiled as she crept up behind her, hands reaching around her waist as his thumbs slid in her belt holes. His head tilting to the side so that she could see it was him before he gently pecked her neck and said “hey beautiful, how was class?” he asked looking straight ahead at her notes.

------Between cheer practice, working two jobs and juggling tons of honors and AP classes, Jenna absolutely had little free time to herself. The time that she did have though was dedicated to Caleb, and Jenna certainly didn't mind that. In fact, Jenna preferred to spend her free time with her boyfriend. Caleb knew just want to do and to say to make her laugh when she was upset, or how to comfort her when she was feeling down. He also knew how to make her feel wanted and worth it when she wasn't feeling too confident in herself. He made her smile and as unlikely as it was, that was all that was on Jenna's mind.
Her brother, Jamie, seemed to think different though. Of course he was the two-year-older brother and he felt like he knew what was best for his baby sister. It wasn't that he didn't like Caleb, because he sounded like a pretty okay guy, it was just the fact that Jamie had to play the role of a big brother and look out for Jenna, even though she was the one with countless scholarships and success and he was the one still in Jericho, New York working as a mechanic. Jenna respected her brother, but she also made sure to tell him that she knew what was best in her own life, and Jamie trusted her.
So engulfed in her own thoughts, Jenna barely realized Caleb coming up behind her. A warm smile grew on her face. "Hey you!" She saw out of the corner of her eye a few girls whispering, but she didn't pay them any mind. They didn't matter, as far as Jenna was concerned. "It was fine, busy, lots of lecture notes. Same old, same old." Jenna nodded her head, loading the rest of her books into her locker before closing it and turning to face Caleb. "And for you?" Maybe studying could wait.

[atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=border,0,true][style=width:400px;height:190px;padding-right:5px; text-align:justify;font-family:arial; font-size:9px; line-height:80%; overflow:auto;] Caleb’s schedule, in all honesty, was anything but complicated. School and fighting were his only real obligations. Besides that, he’d be bored around the house or hang out with friends, and last but definitely not least, spend time with Jenna. Although his new girlfriend was always busy, she definitely made more than enough time for Caleb and it would be harsh of him to not be available during those times. The stress of still keeping his past with him in his pocket and struggling to stay clean of his bad habits did take a toll on him from time to time, but Jenna was always there, to wipe away all the foggy smoke and make Caleb see clearly.
Jenna was Caleb’s kryptonite, she knew it, and he knew it although he would never admit it, publicly. But he didn’t need to anyway, as long as Jenna knew that she was Caleb’s top priority, it didn’t matter what anyone else knew or thought they knew. Like Jenna’s brother, who thought he had Caleb all figured out. By now Caleb was used to the comments and ideas Jamie spit out about him, and the only thing that kept Caleb’s hands and sharp venomous words from Jamie was his relationship to Jenna. Patience and control was definitely a virtue Caleb needed to work on, lack of it would only get him into trouble, again.
But not while she’s in sight he thought to himself as he took his steps towards his girlfriend by her locker. Hearing her more than complacent reaction to his presence made his day just that much better. “I hope the big bad wolf didn’t scare you” |
[/b] he joked with a smirk referring to himself as the furry animal leaning against the locker next to hers as she told him about class. “Saving the world, one class at a time aren’t you babe” the blonde boy said letting out a grin. For me? he thought repeating her question in his head. “Well, there was a beginning…a middle…and an end” he said pretending to actually think about it. ”But, my reward for being a good boy and being in class made it that much more worth it he said with his devilish smirk as both of his index fingers reached for the front of Jenna’s belt holes, gently tugging her close to him as he leaned in to kiss her lips. Kissing Jenna was great, but doing it in front of everyone not really giving a damn what they had to say made it so much better. Seconds later, he gently pulled away with a smirk. And I was right he said biting his lower lip making eye contact with her. “So, are you hungry?” he asked simply.
