The Words: 473 The Music: shark attack, senses failThe Notes (: luke was in the hallway with everyone else as they were in break between their classes. his next class was english, he wasn't looking very forward to going. They were just going to be watching some old movie with bad acting that was supposed to help them understand the book better. if he wanted more information he would just google it he didn't want to have to spend the entire class watching a stupid movie about it. he stood by his locker as all his friends were chatting away about some big party that was going on friday night. luke pretended to be interested even though he knew it was going to be like all the other parties they had around here. everyone was going to get drunk then blame what they did the rest of the night on the alcohol. but maybe he find a pretty girl to keep him company that night. it was to be expected of him to take some girl with him anyway so he may as well play into it. someone asked luke a question and he looked up at them having no idea where the conversation was going. but luckily before he was could pretend to answer the bell rang saving him. the group dispersed and everyone began walking to class but luke started to walk in the opposite direction of his english class.
going down the hall he put his hands in his pockets and glanced around at the people who surrounded him. he never really paid attention to most of the people he went to school with because he knew that when he graduated they wouldn't keep in touch. finding his destination he looked around him and quickly entered the student lounge and closed the door behind him. this was normally where he would come and take naps during his break. setting his stuff down on one of the couches he took a seat and grabbed his book out of his backpack. putting his feet on the table he opened up his book and scanned through the pages for where he had left of. it was hard to concentrate on the book at hand because there was just so much he'd rather be doing. running a hand through his hair he looked around the student lounge wondering why it was so empty. there were normally always students here coming during their break or when they just didn't want to go to class. it was just his luck that when he wanted some company it was completely empty. but just when this thought crossed his mind the door started to open catching his attention. he was hoping it was someone who he knew so they could hang out. just as long as it wasn't a teacher to get him in trouble for skipping his class.

[style=font-family: times; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-transform: lowercase; color: #989898; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;] 648 WORDS FOR LUKE/LILLY Much better :) DREAM [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;]Three and a half measly hours is the amount of sleep the Rivera girl had gotten the night before. After Equinox, she had arrived home at about 1:30am but ended up doing homework and sleeping around 3am. The sound of her alarm clock displeased her so, and as much as she didn’t want to go to school, she loathed the idea of missing all the work even more, seeing as how her time was precious and rarely ever free. The entire day seemed to be moving far too slowly to begin with and Katya had probably already squeezed in three cups of coffee from the café in between classes. Her friends told her she looked like she hadn’t slept at all, and Katya felt as if the bags on her face dropped inch by inch. Today didn’t seem like it would be a great day, at all. While in her Pre-Calculus class, Katya did her best to keep her eyes wide open and pay attention to what the teacher was explaining and writing on the board, but from time to time would open her eyes, not realizing she dozed off.
Ugh, can this day ever end? She thought to herself as she propped her elbow up and rested her head on her hand, trying to keep focus and avoid passing out in front of the teacher. Her math teacher hated when kids dozed off, she hated it even more when those same students would fail the quizzes and exams because of their poor attention span. As much as Katya was not a nerd, she really didn’t feel like being under the teacher’s ‘naughty’ list because that’s when all extra help and extra time to finish up assignments died. And Katya knew very well there would be times where she would fall under that category and would hate for the teacher to not let her finish the assignment due to a long night at work. Suck it up Katya, she said to herself as the bell rang and she let out a sigh of relief, another class done, and next up was dance, a class Katya wouldn’t be able to doze off. As the brunette made her way to her locker, her phone vibrated and Katya pulled it out of the back pocket of her jeans, it was a fellow classmate informing the teacher was absent and they would just be watching a movie.
Nap time Katya thought to herself as she closed her locker and made her way to the student lounge. Sure they didn’t have pull out beds, but it was much better than metal seats. Katya yawned as she made it to the door and closed her mouth opening the door slightly and seeing Luke Moreau in the lounge already, reading? That seemed like a first. Walking right by him without saying a word would cause him to get all offended and sensitive so Katya simply said “hey luke” before walking in the lounge and dropping her things by a nearby couch. As Katya stretched her body on the couch she let out a sigh of relief not believing the couches were THAT comfortable to sleep in. But as soon as Katya closed her eyes to try to pass out with ease like she was doing in class, she only caught herself opening her eyes seconds later witnessing that nothing had changed. She was still awake, and Luke was still there as well. “Don’t you just hate it when you’re body is exhausted by all means and you can definitely doze off when you shouldn't, but when you have the time and space to rest, it just doesn’t happen?” Katya stated out loud. She wasn't expecting Luke to respond with an ECR or anything, but they were the only ones in the lounge, and when two people were in a room, Katya hated the annoying silence..... [/style] |
